SheffieldRag: bad... for a good cause

What is SheffieldRag?

Sheffield RAG runs a number of events over every academic year. The Rag committee has an extensive network with 7 halls / first year committees as well as various working groups, for example the Bummit committee (which organises hitch hiking across Europe).

Sheffield is home to 50,000 students and Sheffield RAG has direct access to 25,000 students at Sheffield University. All of RAG’s events have the aim of raising money for charity whilst everyone has a good time getting involved! RAG needs lots of support and resources and there are many ways companies can work with RAG.

How can sponsoring SheffieldRag help advertise my company?

Sponsoring RAG or one of its specific events will not just help to advertise your company logo, RAG can do much more than just putting your logo in places that companies cannot get access to. (due to union, university and hall of residents restrictions placed on external companies that are not placed on societies) Being associated with RAG will help to show students that you are actively involved supporting our events, that you are endorsed and trusted by one of Sheffield’s biggest student groups! Therefore supporting RAG will help you to increase your profile within the student community. In short RAG can offer you many benefits, giving your company exposure to students, increasing peoples awareness of your presence, hours, rates and offers, we can help by distributing your publicity, co-branding events, setting up web-links, sanctioned emails to our mailing lists, presence at events, fairs, stalls, in-fact we would be more than happy to discuss any ideas or requirements you might have.*

Working with RAG providing sponsorship helps us to reduce the setup costs of our events. Therefore your money and assistance will help us to increases the amount of money we can in the end ultimately raise for local, national and international charities.

How can my company fit in with RAG?

Next Year RAG will prints over 20,000 flyers and put up over 2,000 posters, we will have many socials, pub, club nights, be at all the university fairs and will set up fun runs, expeditions, print thousands of t-shirts, hitch hike across Europe twice and have an entire week of carnage (known as RAG week.) Regardless of your size or type of company there are ways we can utilise your support.
